Insulin Pump Support Program
Cure Diabetes (Kim’s Fund) and the Foustanellas Endocrine and Diabetes Centre, located at the Riverside Campus of the Ottawa Hospital collaborated with Canada Chemists to launch an Insulin Pump Supply Support Program in the spring of 2009. Patients who shared their personal concerns with their diabetes educator regarding the financial burden of purchasing pump supplies were offered a Cure Diabetes application form. Through this generous funding, there have been 23 recipients of $23,550 of pump supplies. This support has made a significant difference in the lives of these people!

As we enter our 3nd year, we realize that the need for this fund is greater than we anticipated. Your financial support will assist us to provide these patients with dollars to offset the high cost of pump supplies thereby helping them to attain better control of their blood glucose levels. Tighter blood glucose levels results in healthier daily living and prevents the complications of diabetes longer..
